EWHEELER ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when you use the EWHEELER mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
- Profile Photo: If you register as a mechanic/service provider, you may upload a photo of yourself or your vehicle. This is stored securely on Firebase Storage.
- Location Data: We collect your device location to show nearby EV charging stations and service providers. Location is used only while the app is in use and is not stored on our servers.
- Device & Usage Information: We collect device tokens for push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
- Mechanic Registration Data: Name, phone number, service details, and location provided during mechanic/service registration are stored in our database to display your profile to users.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your account.
- To display nearby EV service providers and charging stations based on your location.
- To send you push notifications about service approvals and updates.
- To allow users to contact service providers via the phone dialer.
- To review and approve mechanic registrations (admin use only).
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Google Firebase – for authentication, database, storage, and push notifications (Google's Privacy Policy applies).
- Google Sign-In – for account authentication.
- No other third parties receive your personal information.
4. Permissions Used
- Location (Fine & Coarse): To show EV stations and mechanics near you. Used only while the app is active.
- Camera & Storage: To allow mechanics to upload a profile/verification photo during registration.
- Internet: Required to connect to Firebase services and maps.
- Notifications: To send alerts about registration status and service updates.
5. Data Retention
Account and mechanic profile data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 8). Upon request, we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy
EWHEELER is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Security
We use Firebase's industry-standard security infrastructure to protect your data. All data transmissions use HTTPS encryption. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights & Contact
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the app.

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
